Residencies in Neurology

The neurology residency program at the University of Utah is a comprehensive three year program, fully accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) which provides each resident with thorough grounding in neurology as a clinical discipline. In 2011, our residency program (both adult and pediatric) successfully became re-accredited by the ACGME through the year 2021.

Fellowships in Neurology

At the University of Utah, our neurology department offers several areas of further specialization including: ACGME-accredited programs, UCNS accredited programs, and programs for which no standard accreditation has been established.

Electives in Neurology

Medical students, students in the physician's assistant program, and pharmacy students may rotate on the neurology service. Medical students at the University of Utah School of Medicine have a scheduled one-month rotation in neurology. The rotation includes: two weeks in-patient service, which includes our neuro-intensive care service and two weeks in both general neurology and subspecialty clinics.
