Training Program
Most experiences are longitudinal, except for one month elective rotations.
Year 1 is devoted to clinical training as follows:
Year 1 (required)
| Neuro-oncology clinic with Dr. Colman/Dr. Malani |
1 day per week |
| Neuro-oncology clinic with Dr. Mendez |
1 day per week |
| Inpatient neuro-oncology service rounds | 1 hour per day |
| Inpatient neuro-oncology consultations | 1 hour per day |
| Education (tumor board, core curriculum, supplemental conferences) | 1/2 day per week |
| Neuropathology Rotation | 1 month |
| Pediatric Neuro-oncology rotation | 1 month |
Electives (only 1 required)
| Supportive oncology/palliative care | 1 month |
| Radiation oncology | 1 month |
| Neurosurgery | 1 month |
| Neuroradiology (required for Medical Oncology trainees |
1 month |
| Bone marrow transplantation | 1 month |
