The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition specializes in intestinal, hepatic, and nutritional disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. Physicians in the division are board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists and faculty members at the University of Utah.
We conduct specialty clinics in liver disease and liver transplantation, comprehensive nutrition challenges, dysphagia and feeding disorders, inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, intestinal failure, cystic fibrosis, and general pediatric GI.
Research
Ongoing research initiatives include eosinophilic esophagitis, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis.
Facilities
Our outpatient clinics and hospital services - including endoscopy - are located at Primary Children's Hospital. Primary Children's Hospital is a 271-bed pediatric facility equipped and staffed to treat children with the most complex gastrointestinal, hepatic, and nutritional illness. Primary Children's Hospital serves Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Nevada. We also conduct outreach clinics at Riverton Hospital.
