Stipends

Competitive annual stipends are determined by The School of Medicine at PGY-4, 5, and 6 levels.

Benefits

Benefits include three weeks (21 calendar days) of vacation, a maximum of 12 days of sick leave, and a maximum of five calendar days of educational leave. Maternity leave of up to 12 weeks is available when appropriate.

Malpractice insurance, disability insurance, and group life insurance are provided at no charge. Additional life insurance may be purchased.

Eighty percent of the cost of the medical premium for health insurance is provided.

Group dental insurance is available at a nominal charge.

Other Benefits

Other benefits include:

  • Relevant (clinical and research) books, journals, membership in medical societies
  • Travel expenses to scientific meetings at which the fellow is presenting an abstract

The division also provides a laptop computer for the fellow's use during the tenure of the fellowship.
