utilizing robust methods and systems to enable data collection, provide sound data management, and assure data quality
The Utah Data Coordinating Resource Center (DCRC) is a key organizational partner of the NIH HEAL Pain Management Effectiveness Research Network (ERN), part of the NIH HEAL (Helping to END Addiction Long-term) Initiative to speed scientific solutions to the national opioid public health crisis.
We work with other HEAL RCs to harmonize data elements to create valuable combined data sets that can be used for future meta-analyses or add to our knowledge of under-studied pain conditions.
Our national and local partnerships allow us to jointly leverage expertise and resources for all phases of clinical trial research in order to execute trials better, faster, and more cost-efficiently.
Through the capacity of the HEAL Pain ERN, we are able to access resources through the CTSA Program, which includes 60+ medical research institutions. Furthermore, this unique position strengthens our local partnerships with key University of Utah clinical research stakeholders:
CTSA - Clinical and Translational Science Awards
ICs - Institutes and Centers
RCs - Resource Centers
RRC - Recruitment Resource Center
