2021-2022 - Third Year Fellows
Dr. Michelle Bischoff is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine in 2015. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2019 where she was Chief Resident. She completed her first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Sean Migotsky is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2015. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2019 where he was Chief Resident. He completed his first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Shane Ruckel is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2016. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2019. He completed his first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Robert Sturm is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2016. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado in 2019. He completed his first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Eleni Tseliou is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from University of Athens School of Health Sciences in 2007. She did a PhD Fellowship at Alexandra Hospital in Greece from 2007-2009 and at Cedars Sinai Medical Center from 2011-2015. She completed her first year of Internal Medicine residency at the Alexandra Hospital in 2017 and her second and third year at the University of Utah in 2019. She completed her first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Daniel Varela is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Paul L Foster School of Medicine in 2016. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado in 2019. He completed his first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah and is now Chief fellow of his final year.

Dr. Zameer Abedin is a second year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Mediciine in 2017. He completed his Internal Medicine residency here at the University of Utah in 2020. He completed his first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Lina Brinker is a second year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2015. She completed one year of anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2016 and then completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Medical School in 2019. She served in a hospital appointment there for a year before coming to Utah. She completed her first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Griffin Bullock is a second year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2017. He completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2020. He completed his first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Holly Gaines is a second year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2017. She completed in internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma College in 2020. She completed her first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Noopur Goyal is a second year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2016. She completed her internal medicine residency here at the University of Utah in 2020 where she served as Chief Medical Resident. She completed her first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.
Dr. Carlos Rodriguez-Correa is a second year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the Universidad Latina de Panamá in Panama in 2012. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2020. He completed his first and second year of Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Utah.

Dr. Emad Albayouk is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University in 2016. He completed his internal medicine residency here at the University of Utah in 2021.
Dr. McHale Anderson is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the University of Washington in 2018. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado in 2021.
Dr. Thomas Anderson is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree here from the University of Utah in 2018. He completed his internal medicine residency here at the University of Utah in 2021.
Dr. Scott Brewster is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from Saint Louis University in 2017. He completed his internal medicine residency here at the University of Utah in 2021 after being Chief Resident his final year.
Dr. Miguel Chaves Cavazos is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey Escuela de Medicina in 2017. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Houston Methodist Hospital in 2021.
Dr. Maranda Herner is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of The Pacific at Pomona in 2018. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Colorado University Anschutz Medical Campus in 2021.
Dr. Elizabeth Wendl is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from the University Of Iowa RJ & L Carver College Of Medicine in 2018. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Univeristy of Iowa - Des Moines (at Unity Point Health) in 2021.
