Familiality Analysis

The primary aim of this study is the application of multiple hypothesis tests to discover new familial disease patterns. We will use the University of Utah Health Sciences Center (UUHSC) data warehouse recently linked to the Utah Population Database (UPDB) genealogy data. We are interested in understanding how genetics influence and impact the following health conditions:
- Rotator cuff injury and recovery
- Gallstone Disease
- Spine disorders
- Influenza
- Predisposition to Sepsis
- Shingles
- Stroke
- Outcomes after traumatic injury
- Surgical Site Infection
- Thinness
