Neurology is a frontier discipline—most diseases are incompletely understood and some are completely unknown. Translational neuroscience is basic and applied scientific research in the practical service of human disease.

Since we stand at the interface of clinical care and research, our department is an important center for translational neuroscience research at the University of Utah.
