Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study
This study is one of 21 sites participating in the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study – the largest long-term study of brain development and child health in the United States.
Background
The study involves 21 research sites across the country and has recruited 11,880 children ages 9–10 to participate. Researchers will track their biological and behavioral development through adolescence into young adulthood.
Our lab processes and analyzes the brain imaging from this study, as well as the cognitive outcomes that are associated with changes in brain structure.
We are using this study as a unique opportunity to investigate the behavioral, cognitive, and brain health of children before AND after traumatic brain injury.
