Providing an Exceptional Learning Experience in Ophthalmology
The Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine and the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences provide excellence in teaching, research, and clinical expertise to train tomorrow’s physicians and ophthalmologists. Each year, faculty from the John A. Moran Eye Center’s nationally recognized education program provide training to 50-60 medical students from the University of Utah, medical schools from across the country, and visiting residents.
Ophthalmology Student Electives
The following four courses are offered annually as medical student electives. If you are interested in a career in ophthalmology, please see electives 7590 and 7600 for a more rigorous elective. See individual courses for specific requirements.
