The University of Utah Appoints Dr. Angela Wang as New Orthopaedic Hand Division Chief

The University of Utah is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Angela Wang as the new Division Chief of Orthopaedic Hand Surgery. A highly respected expert in her field, Dr. Wang brings extensive experience in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery for both children and adults. She has been a vital member of the University of Utah Health community, currently practicing at the University Orthopaedic Center, Primary Children’s Hospital, South Jordan Health Center and Shriners Hospitals for Children in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Wang received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at New York Orthopaedic Hospital/Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Further refining her expertise, she pursued a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery/New York-Presbyterian Medical Center.

Dr. Wang’s appointment as Division Chief will continue the tradition of excellence within the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah. Her clinical and research interests align closely with the university’s mission to improve patient outcomes through cutting-edge care, medical innovation, and education. In her new role, Dr. Wang will lead the growth of the division, ensuring continued leadership in both patient care and academic pursuits in the field of hand and upper extremity surgery.
