Madhu Menon, MD, Ph.D. joined the University of Utah Department of Pathology and ARUP in May 2021. Dr. Menon, a dedicated hematopathologist, holds the rank of Associate Professor (Clinical) in the Clinical Pathology Division.
Dr. Menon comes to Utah from Michigan; he began his career at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and became a clinical assistant professor at Wayne State University. He attended medical school in India before coming to the U.S. and earning a Ph.D. at Penn State.
After earning his doctorate, Dr. Menon trained at several prestigious institutions. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Maine Medical Center and then Chief Resident at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He also did visiting fellowships at Johns Hopkins and the George Washington University Hospital and a clinical fellowship at the NIH National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Menon is particularly pleased to be at ARUP, noting its reputation as an excellent place for practice and research. While he practices hematopathology exclusively, his research interests include lymphoma and lymphoma diagnosis.
In his free time, Dr. Menon enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his son. He is also an amateur songwriter and plays the guitar.
