Steven Baker, MD Ph.D., joined the Department of Pathology at The University of Utah in July 2021.
Dr. Baker, who specializes in coagulation and transfusion, works in the Clinical Pathology Division at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Dr. Baker comes to Utah from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he held a fellowship in transfusion medicine. He completed a BS at Cornell University and both MD and Ph.D. degrees from Baylor University; he then moved on to complete a residency in clinical pathology at Stanford.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Baker hopes to pursue research while working at the University of Utah. He noted the unique innovation-driven collaboration between the University and ARUP as a tremendous opportunity.
An outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, and visiting national parks, Dr. Baker also enjoys the gym and cooking with his girlfriend.
