Introducing Dr. Benjamin Bradley
Benjamin Bradley, MD, PhD is a new addition to the Department of Pathology faculty. Dr. Bradley works in the infectious diseases section of the Clinical Pathology Division and specializes in virology, molecular infectious diseases, and infectious disease pathology.
Dr. Bradley described his background quite vividly, noting that he "was born at the age of 0 along the muddy waters of the Mississippi River Delta. Amid the flood plains, biting insects, and oppressive humidity, [Dr. Bradley] developed a necessary love for tropical diseases and virology. This led him to an MD/PhD at Tulane University and subsequently fleeing to the gray shores of the PNW for residency."
He is excited to join the faculty at ARUP and the Department of Pathology because of the pathologists' excellent clinical work and innovation; Dr. Bradley is also thrilled by the opportunity to lead a world-class virology laboratory. To date, he has already published several manuscripts and been appointed as Medical Director for High-Consequence Pathogen Response.
Dr. Bradley is a former collegiate road cyclist and achieved several national Top 10 placings; he now rides and trail runs for fun. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and her "half-dog, half-gremlin" Watson.
