Meet Dr. Robert Ohgami
Robert Ohgami, MD, PhD joined the Department of Pathology faculty in August 2022. Dr. Ohgami is the Chief Medical Director for Research and Development in IOG at ARUP and specializes in hematopathology, molecular and translational research.
After growing up in California, Dr. Ohgami completed his undergraduate studies at Princeton and then went to Harvard for his medical and graduate training. He completed residency at Stanford, followed by fellowships at Stanford in immunology and hematopathology. Prior to coming to Utah, he held clinical and research faculty positions at Stanford and UCSF.
Dr. Ohgami was drawn to the University and ARUP because of the excellence in clinical testing and academic research, in addition to the collaborative community. He has enjoyed working with his colleagues and indulging his love of coffee by meeting up with them over a cup of coffee.
Outside of work, Dr. Ohgami also enjoys cooking, growing vegetables, watching movies, hiking, playing board games and tennis and golf.
