The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases is committed to excellence in patient care, teaching, research and improving the public health. We provide compassionate and comprehensive consultative care to children with serious infections including HIV/AIDS, bone and joint infections, pneumonia and other complicated respiratory infections, endocarditis, meningitis, tropical infections and infections in children with compromised immune systems due to transplantation, malignancies and primary immunodeficiencies.
Members of the Division are involved in a wide range of translational and clinical research. Our research interests include development of novel diagnostics, influenza and other respiratory viral infections, epidemiology of invasive bacterial, antimicrobial use and stewardship, health care services research and infections in compromised hosts.
We are dedicated to training the next generation of pediatricians and infectious disease physician through our clinical teaching and our fellowship program.
