Addiction Medicine Fellowship Overview
The Department of Psychiatry was accredited by the Addiction Medicine Foundation (TAMF) in 2016 and by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in 2018 to offer a one-year Addiction Medicine fellowship training program within the Division of Adult Psychiatry. This fellowship is under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth F. Howell, MD, MS, DLFAPA, DFASAM and is open to applicants who are board-eligible or board-certified in any primary specialty of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Fellows will train at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute (formerly the University Neuropsychiatric Institute), the University of Utah Hospital and Community Clinics, and the VA and community based programs.
