The divisions within the Department of Surgery have many focused initiatives throughout the world. Many of these initatives began as a research project, medical service trip, or as a result of inter-personal ties and have grown wings as full-fledged institutional partnerships. Our long-term interests in building surgical capacity in the countries where we work commit us to build the effectiveness of these programs.
The contributions of each division to the work of Global Surgery has been indispensable to what the "Center for Global Surgery" is and has accomplished, and is the point of origin for work yet to come.
