And the Award goes to...

On September 20th, 2019, the Department of Biochemistry held their 3rd Annual Biochem Bash & Awards Ceremony. This event is an opportunity to give recognition to an outstanding graduate student and postdoc, and to mingle with Biochemistry personnel, alumni, and donors.

Both Max Schuler and Alyssa English received the Marjorie Riches Gunn Student Award for Graduate Student Excellence and Han Han received the Eveline Bruenger Postdoctoral Award for Excellence. We were privileged to have Marge Gunn attend the event.  The Awards Night followed a very successful inagural James and Kathleen McCloskey Bioscience Endowed lecture where Nobel Prize Laureate Venki Ramakrishnan presented. Both Kathleen and Venki were in attendance at the Awards Night.
