Welcome to the University of Utah Department of Internal Medicine, Workgroup on Health Equity Research website. This website also serves the Division of Epidemiology’s Health Equity Research Section.

Incredible scientific advancements are happening every day within health, behavioral, and social sciences. These advancements are improving clinical care, patient health, and quality of life. The faculty, staff, students, and trainees associated with our Workgroup and Section are dedicated to researching the practices, methods, and approaches that will ensure that these advancements reach every community, particularly those who have been historically underserved, underrepresented, or marginalized. Health Equity Research Pilot Grant 2024 - Call for Proposals

The Health Equity Research Section and Workgroup have set aside funding to support the Health Equity Research Pilot Grant. Two pilot grants will be supported for up to $20,000. The purpose of these awards is to advance the science and practice for health, wellbeing, and access to high-quality, equitable health care, public health, and social services in Utah, the Intermountain West, and nation for all persons regardless of sociodemographic, health, or economic backgrounds.  ​ 

Deadline for submission is December 6, 2024 at midnight Mountain Time. ​
