Benefits

The University of Utah provides generous benefits to employees and many resources for unpaid faculty who are volunteers. Benefits can be selected, and become effective, on your first day. Our department provides our faculty with an extended parental leave benefit of up to 8 weeks paid leave (2 weeks longer than most other University of Utah faculty), or co-parental leave benefit of up to 4 weeks paid leave. Parental leave can be extended to a total of up to 12 weeks of leave if qualified and applied for continuous FMLA.
