Each year, the Department of Neurosurgery holds a winter research meeting at Snowbird Ski Resort in Salt Lake City, Utah. This meeting of research and clinical applications in a relaxed setting has endured the test of time as a popular tribute to the memory of Dr. Richard Lende.Open to all members of the neuroscience community, this 3-day event is filled with symposia, posters, a keynote address, and — most importantly — the opportunity to connect with colleagues.
2023 ANNUAL MEETING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this CME activity, participants should be able to:
- Become familiar with best practices and clinical evidence in skull base/tumor surgery
- Understand the recent requirement in resident education
- Demonstrate recent innovation and emerging technology in spine surgery
- Discuss complication avoidance in cranial and spinal neurosurgery

Snowbird, Utah is located approximately 32 miles from the Salt Lake International Airport. Rental cars are available at the airport, or participants can arrange shuttle service from Canyon Transportation, 801-255-1841. They also have a desk at the airport. The Lende didactic sessions begin SATURDAY FEBRUARY 4th at 8:00 am. It is the intention of the planners to keep this meeting an open forum. All participants are encouraged to submit titles for presentation.

Registration begins on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 outside Ballroom I of the Cliff Lodge between 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. On Saturday, February 4th, you can register outside Ballroom I beginning at 7:00 am. The Lende didactic sessions begin Saturday, February 4th at 8:00 am.
It is the intention of the planners to keep this meeting an open forum. All participants are encouraged to submit titles for presentation.

- Resident, Fellow, Med Student: Free

Cancellation Policy
If cancellation of your registration becomes necessary, you may send written notice to the Meeting Coordinator (lanett.dunbar@hsc.utah.edu) or call 801-556-2539. Cancellations made by 5 pm Thursday, December 15, 2023 will be accepted. A $50 administrative fee will be assessed on all cancellations. Confirmed registrants who do not attend the conference or who cancel after December 15, 2022 are responsible for the entire registration fee.

AMA Credit: The University of Utah School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 15.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
All attendees are encouraged to use the CME system to claim their attendance. Physicians will be awarded AMA PRA Category 1 credits TM; all other professions will be awarded attendance at a CME event credit that they may use for their re-credentialing purposes.
