    About WARC

The Western Anesthesia Residents Conference (WARC) was founded in 1962 by Dr. Edmond “Ted” Eger II, renowned anesthesiologist and scientist who pioneered the development of modern inhaled anesthetics. The conference is held annually to give anesthesiology residents and medical students an opportunity to present their research, and is hosted by anesthesia departments in the Western United States. To honor Dr. Eger for his contributions, WARC has named an annual lectureship in his honor.
