Michael grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He received a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.S. at Tufts University School of Medicine. He then joined the inaugural class at University of Las Vegas School of Medicine and most recently completed his internal medicine residency training at Tufts Medical Center. After bouncing between coasts repeatedly he hopes to stay in one place for a while.
Michael’s clinical interests include scleroderma, lupus, and working with young patients who are transitioning their care to adult medicine. Outside of medicine, Michael enjoys hiking, trying out new recipes, and exploring the local restaurant and brewery scene.
Maddie grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology and human development at Duke University. Following graduation, she worked as a research coordinator at the Duke Pain Prevention & Management Program, then returned home for medical school at the University of Oklahoma. She moved to Salt Lake City for internal medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2020, most recently spent a year as chief medical resident, and is thrilled to continue fellowship training at the U.
Outside the hospital, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs (trail running, hiking, camping, and cross-country skiing), gardening, and baking gluten-free goodies.
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I decided to head to Costa Rica for medical school, where I met my wife, Andrea. After graduating, I returned to Florida for my residency at the Cleveland Clinic. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dog, Riley, who keeps us active. Some interests include tennis (always up for a match), standup comedy and cooking.
Chris grew up in Houston, Texas. He received a B.A. majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology - Immunology at the University of California, Berkeley. He continued his interest into immunology and worked as a research associate at the UCSF - Core Immunology Laboratory with a focus into HIV and its effects on the immune system. He later received his M.D. at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Recently, Chris has completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Utah and is continuing his training here to pursue his interest in autoimmune diseases.
When he's not practicing rheumatology, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife hiking, backpacking, and fly-fishing throughout the nearby national parks and Wasatch/Uinta mountain ranges. During the beautiful winters, he loves to carve up the mountains with his snowboard, and afterwards he'll warm up with a movie featured by the local Sundance film festival. He also enjoys jazz music and playing board games.
Vivianne grew up in Littleton, Colorado. After college, she returned home for medical school at the University of Colorado where she encountered rheumatology for the first time and met her husband, Justin. She completed her internal medicine residency and chief year at Indiana University.
Vivianne's academic interests include medical education and caring for underserved populations. In her free time, Vivianne enjoys jogging with her border collie, playing piano, and most recently exploring Utah.
