Alan S. Crandall, MD, was a renowned physician, teacher, humanitarian, and one of the John A. Moran Eye Center’s founding physicians.

A gifted glaucoma and cataract surgeon, Dr. Crandall was instrumental in shaping Moran’s culture of excellence and innovation. Patients revered him as an advocate and friend, and Dr. Crandall’s love of humankind inspired him to travel the world to treat blinding eye diseases in under-resourced communities.

The Alan S. Crandall Center for Glaucoma Innovation serves as an enduring legacy of Dr. Crandall’s passion for helping others.
