Objectives:
- To become competent in neonatal resuscitation
- To become competent in management of term infants around delivery
- To learn to provide support for breast feeding
- To become competent in managing late preterm infants (34-37 weeks gestational age)
Skill Acquisition
Residents will recognize and develop a treatment plan for:
- Neonatal resuscitation
- Care of the late preterm infant
- Management of routine well baby issues like jaundice, feeding problems, sepsis risk, maternal infections, drug-exposed infant, hypoglycemia, and temperature instability
- Breastfeeding support
Required Activities
- "NRP" certification
- Teaching and supervision of residents and students
