We are pleased to announce that Willem, a second-year PhD student in the Department of Population Health Sciences in the biostatistics emphasis, received the Marriner S. Eccles Graduate Research Fellowship. His research interests revolve around the intersection of statistical and computational methods with health systems, quality, and policy related research. In his spare time, Willem enjoys trail running, hiking in the Wasatch Mountains, and spending time with his family, friends, and puppy named Watson.

The Marriner S. Eccles Graduate Research Fellowship is for U.S. Citizens who are full-time graduate students pursing research in banking, business, education, finance, humanities, law, social sciences and its impact on relationships among politics, public policy and the economy.

Congratulations Willem!
