Welcome Heidi Green, Senior Director of Advancement

Heidi is the new Senior Director of Advancement for Cardiovascular Initiatives. Heidi began her career in advertising and public relations, but spent most of her career in fundraising. She joins CV from the University of Utah School of Dentistry where she was able to double the number of scholarships and triple the scholarship dollars available for Dentistry students. She worked to establish the first endowed chairs for the School, including a first-of-its-kind, multi-million-dollar collaboration. She established the School of Dentistry Alumni Association with strategies to engage young alumni and the Alumni Engagement Task Force to collectively focus efforts across the U of U Health Academic Units. In the School of Dentistry, she envisioned and established a marketing and communication strategy to increase collaborative partnerships and build giving opportunities.

Before joining University of Utah Health Advancement, Heidi worked with Intermountain Foundation at Primary Children's Hospital. Previously, she lived in Columbus, Ohio, directing fundraising efforts at the children's hospital. While there, she was instrumental in the $50 million gift which renamed the hospital to Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Heidi is a two-time alumnus of the University of Utah. She received a Bachelor of Science in Communication and this summer graduates with a Master of Public Administration.

In her new role, Heidi will staff and support the divisions of cardiovascular medicine and cardiothoracic surgery and the Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI), building a robust community of philanthropic support to achieve the goals laid out in the Cardiovascular Strategic Plan.
