Welcome our New Faculty, Dr. Callie Thompson

Callie Thompson, MD, is a fellowship-trained burn and critical care surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah. She received her medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee and completed her residency, research fellowship, and clinical fellowship training at the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Thompson’s clinical interests in burn and critial care include multidisciplinary management of skin and soft tissue disease, particularly thermal trauma, in both adults and children.

Dr. Thompson’s research interests include:

  • Patient-centered outcomes
  • Shared decision making
  • Genetic-associated variation in scarring
