- Pediatrics: The University of Utah has one of the top pediatric programs in the country.
- Child Psychiatry: Our program has the best clinical training sites in the country, including 16 specialized training venues.
- General Psychiatry Attendings: Our psychiatry department allows us to schedule with attendings who are highly supportive of the triple board program.
- Board Preparation: Our psychiatry program includes a monthly mock board class with a National Examiner, practice mock boards, and resident supported study groups for written exams.
- Stability: We are one of the original founding Triple Board programs established in 1986, and we have many alumni in this area of the country.
- Leadership: Dr. Gray has been the Training Director since 1999. Dr. Kleinschmit is the Assistant Training Director, and our Chief Residents go the extra mile.
- Developing Expertise: You will pick a topic that is interesting to you,and our faculty will help you to develop expertise in that area, prior to graduation.
- The Last Year: The fifth year is a variety of outpatient child psychiatry rotations, with no call, and every weekend off. You will build your own practice, with good supervision.
