The University of Utah’s Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery has received an International Cardiac Surgical Outreach Award through Edwards Lifesciences Foundation and the Thoracic Surgery Foundation. This award will allow the Division and the Center for Global Surgery to send a skilled team of healthcare professionals to a hospital in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The primary objective of this visit is to establish an educational relationship that will assist in the sustainable growth of a cardiac surgical program at the Mongolian hospital.
