University of Utah Health Division of Vascular Surgery earns three stars in Vascular Quality Initiative Registry Participation Award Program

Anna Dalton, APRN, Received the 2022 APC Excellence Award

Our own Anna Dalton, APRN received the 2022 APC Excellence Award from the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah.

Anna is from St. George Utah. She attended and graduated from Southern Utah University in 2012 to receive her BSN. Then moved to Cleveland and worked at the Cleveland Clinic in one of their Cardiovascular step-down units. In 2014, Anna moved back to Salt Lake City where she started working in the CVICU as an RN. She spent 4 years working as a bedside nurse. And now has completed another 4 years as a DNP in that same unit. Fun fact about Anna is that she is a homebody and loves to clean and organize.

Dr. Joe Tonna says: “I’ve known Anna Dalton since she was an ICU nurse. As a new APC, she undertook a multi unit QI project to improve sleep quality and measure delirium. It was wildly successful and was published in the journal Chest.  Anna is the go to APC for the CVICU. She knows all the protocols, all the patients, all the staff. She’s wildly effective, smart, dedicated, and a joy to work with.”
