University of Utah Health Division of Vascular Surgery earns three stars in Vascular Quality Initiative Registry Participation Award Program

Welcome New Fellow Dr. Gui Czelusniak de Oliveria

Gui was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil, where he also attended medical school. During those years he had many national and international presentations and pursued international training opportunities and rotated in General and Cardiac Surgery in Portugal, Boston, and Toronto. After graduating from medical school in 2014, he worked as a Military Physician in the Brazilian Army before moving to the United States as a Research Fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His research in aging and NAD metabolism was productive and he had papers published on Cell and Nature Metabolism. He started his General Surgery training at the Mayo Clinic and transferred to the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where he continued to be productive with both manuscripts and presentations and further solidified his interest in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
