Dr. Anthony Schaeffer receives funding through the NIH via a 5-year KO8 award to study hydronephrosis in children. His grant is entitled “The Utah-Cohort of Postnatally Persistent Antenatal Hydronephrosis (UCOPAH)”. Dr. Schaeffer's K08 award will be the third in the Division of Urology and demonstrates our commitment to impactful research that helps us better treat our patients. Congratulations Dr. Schaeffer!
He will seek to understand the outcomes and need for interventions in a large cohort of children, identified through the Intermountain Healthcare System and Primary Children’s Hospital. He hopes to define best care recommendations and pathways for children with hydronephrosis.
