Congratulations to Brynn Parsegov and Dr. Joe Prchal for an award of the top abstract for for the 14th International Congress on Myeloproliferative Neoplasms to be held in Brooklyn NY. Their study focuses on myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) arising from acquired somatic mutations. They showed that family clustering of MPNs may arise from acquisition of a JAK2 V617F mutation in utero from chimerism occurring through placental anastomoses.
