Integrated Care Concentration
The Integrated Care Concentration is designed for residents interested in learning more about Mental Health Integration (MHI) models of care and best practices within primary care and specialty care settings.
Objectives
- Improve awareness of access barriers and need for effective screening and case finding strategies in Integrated Care settings.
- Develop expertise in Integrated Care models of care with a focus on Collaborative Care (CoCM).
- Provide additional Integrated Care clinical training beyond the basic residency requirements.
- Provide mentorship from faculty with nationally recognized expertise in Integrated Care.
- Prepare psychiatry trainees to practice within these models of care post graduation, which is critical for workforce development and sustainability.

Certificate Requirements
- Involvement in Integrated Care concentration for at least two years.
- At least 80% attendance at Integrated Care interest group / journal club and MHI / CoCM didactics.
- One additional half-day, six-month MHI clinical rotation at a specialty care site or additional Collaborative Care (CoCM) rotation.
- One additional half day, six-month MHI leadership rotation.
- One scholarly project related to Integrated Care (completed during leadership rotation).
