The Department’s Dr. Sean Runnels Hosts the Popular “Swimming with Sharks” Session at ASA

Drawing on his own entrepreneurial experience and success, the Department’s Dr. Sean Runnels hosted the popular “Swimming with Sharks” session at the American Society of Anesthesiologist Annual Meeting in New Orleans. Emulating the popular television series Shark Tank, this ASA session is intended to feature some of the best entrepreneurially oriented research being conducted by anesthesiologist around the country. Dr. Runnels is one of the latest in a long line of successful entrepreneurs emanating from the Department.
