The University of Utah is running a clinical trial looking into the use of metformin to treat individuals with fibromyalgia and is seeking participants.
Metformin, a drug commonly used to treat Type II diabetes, is being explored for its potential in reducing pain and inflammation associated with fibromyalgia, alongside identifying underlying genetic and protein factors that may contribute to the symptoms.
