2019 U-CARS Highlights
On January 17-18, 2019, thought leaders and participants from around the world gathered for the 7th Annual Utah Cardiac Recovery Symposium (U-CARS). The two day symposium was held in a stunning new venue at the University of Utah Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House in scenic Salt Lake City, Utah.
Thursday, January 17th's keynote address was delivered by Gary H. Gibbons, MD, Director of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Friday, January 18th's keynote address was delivered by Jeroen J. Bax, MD, PhD, Immediate Past President of the European Society of Cardiology and Professor at Leiden University, The Netherlands.
The 2019 symposium attracted over 600 attendees once again and featured the clinical and translational impact of the impressive results of the multi-center LVAD Bridge-To-Recovery RESTAGE-HF Trial.
