BUPRENORPHINE WAIVER TRAININGS
PARCKA is committed to undergraduate, graduate, peer, and community education around unhealthy substance use and addiction. A major part of fulfilling this commitment is our Buprenorphine 101 for the non-Addictionologist Trainings. Medication Treatment, combined with access to non-pharmacology treatment is the gold standard treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD). Buprenorphine can be provided by regular providers, in regular health care settings. With the removal of the X-waiver, providers no longer must obtain an X-waiver to prescribe buprenorphine for addiction but must do 8-hours of addiction-related education. Our accredited Buprenorphine 101 courses review the basics of buprenorphine including its pharmacology and proper initiation.
