Welcome from Dr. Mark A. Supiano
On behalf of the Division’s faculty, trainees, and staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Geriatrics Division—my academic home since 2005. Although Utah’s median age qualifies it as the youngest state, its older population is growing very rapidly. In part due to its third highest life expectancy, it is projected that Utah will rank first in the country in the growth rate of its population above age 65 years by the year 2025.
In response to this demographic need, the division is actively pursuing its research, education, and clinical programs to promote health and well being in aging. Please contact us for more information regarding any one of these areas of our mission.
