Seong-Eun Kim, PhD

Dr. Kim received her PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has been working as a Research Associate in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the University of Utah since 2004. An integral member of Dennis Parker's lab for the past 15 years, Dr. Kim has made great contributions to MRI physics, MR-guided focused ultrasound work, and most recently MR vascular imaging in the head and neck. She was born and educated in South Korea prior to traveling to the University of Illinois for her Master’s degree.

Viola Rieke, PhD

Dr. Rieke received her PhD from Stanford University and joins us from the University of California at San Francisco where she was an Associate Professor in Residence. Her field of research is MR-guided focused ultrasound, and her particular interests include accurately predicting temperature change in bone during focused ultrasound treatments. Dr. Rieke is originally from Germany.

Ping Wang, PhD

Dr. Wang joins us from the Institute of Imaging Science at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He received his PhD from Xi'an Jiaotong University in China, and has conducted research at the University of Pennsylvania and Wake Forest. His research focuses on novel MRI biomarkers to provide information about tissue macromolecular composition and cell integrity.
