We would like to announce that Megha Kalsy and Polina Kukhareva, Graduate Students in Biomedical Informatics have been awarded the 2014 Orthner Travel Assistance Award in the amount of up to $1,000 each. This award was made possible by Ms. Carolyn Orthner in honor of her beloved husband, Dr. Helmuth F. Orthner, PhD, FACMI, who passed away in March 2009. The purpose of this award is to provide support to worthy International Biomedical Informatics students who have been accepted to present at a meeting, or have been invited to participate at a meeting or other scholarly activity.
