We congratulate Thomas Reese for being accepted onto the JAMIA 2017-2018 Student Editorial Board. The selection process for the JAMIA Student Editorial Board (SEB) is highly competitive. The SEB chooses only up to 6 SEB members from the group of applicants. SEB members are expected to serve for a two-year term and should be enrolled in an informatics degree program throughout the duration of their term on the SEB. SEB members are critical thinkers with a mastery of written English, experience in scientific writing, background in health care and/or computer science, and have a solid knowledge of research design and basic biostatistics. A goal of the program is to improve all of these skills through experience and mentorship, and several full JAMIA Editorial Board members initially served as SEB members during their training. ...
