On July 18th, the Department celebrated our departing chair, Dr. Wendy Chapman at a farewell reception at the University Park Marriott. Over 100 colleagues attended to wish her well in her new position at the University of Melbourne. A highlight of the reception was the gifting of an Australia Survival Kit that Karen Eilbeck, the new interim chair, presented to Wendy. With Karen’s dry wit, the presentation was a hit! Wendy will now be armed with the most important tools to be successful in her new country. Wendy will be missed and we wish her all the best!
