Congratulations to Adriana Payan-Medina, who is a Chemical Engineering undergrad and a Biomedical Informatics Research Assistant at the University of Utah and mentored by one of our faculty members, Ramkiran Gouripeddi. She was one of 25 undergrads selected to present her work via a poster to Utah State legislators at the annual Research on Capitol Hill event (held virtually). This event demonstrates the importance of undergraduate research and creative work from the top two research universities (University of Utah and Utah State University) in the state. Adriana had the opportunity to discuss the characterization of satellite-derived air quality measurements in health applications with Senator David P. Hinkins and Representative Christine F. Watkins.
