Gordon Chelune received the National Academy of Neuropsychology’s 2015 Distinguished Lifetime Contribution to Clinical Neuropsychology Award at the 35th annual meeting of the National Academy of Neuropsychology in Austin Tx, November 4-7, 2015. His Award Address was titled “Moving Neuropsychology from the Backdoor to the Front Door: Embracing Outcomes in Research and Practice.”

Adam de Havenon (PI) received funding from the Incentive Seed Grant from the University of Utah’s Vice President for Research Office for his project “Association of High-Resolution MRI of the Intracranial Vessel Wall with Transcranial Doppler and Systemic Inflammation in Ischemic Stroke Patients,” which will run from 10/20/15–10/31/16.

Adam also received a Faculty Instrumentation Fund Grant for “Cerebral Oximetry of Cardiac Arrest and Ischemic Stroke Patients.” This one year grant will purchase tools to measure regional cerebral oximetry in stroke and cardiac arrest patients.

David Renner was appointed to the board of examiners of the Royal College of Physicians / London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine's East African Diploma of Tropical Medicine and International Health.  He served as a lecturer for neurology in Moshi, Tanzania, and as an external examiner for the live patient bed-side testing in Kampala, Uganda. 

Angela Eastvold was appointed chair of the Early Career committee for the Utah Psychological Association.

Jana Wold is the new Chair of the Utah Stroke Task Force.
