Meet the Faculty: Kyle Mahoney, MD

Dr. Mahoney is an assistant professor in the Department's Division of Neuromuscular Medicine. He completed his MD at Johns Hopkins University, where he continued on to complete his neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship. His career special interests include autoimmune neuromuscular disease and pathology.

What are your hobbies? Hiking, running, skiing/snowboarding, and cooking.

What is your favorite meal/dessert? Meal: breakfast. Dessert: ice cream.

What are one or two things you want to learn to do? Weld.

What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? Peanut butter.

What song always gets you out on the dance floor? None. As JoJo rabbit says, "Dancing is for people who don't have a job." Kidding, of course.

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you? I'm a twin.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Steve Irwin.

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended? Styx, consistently.

What is your favorite thing about your career? Getting the chance to explore and understand the wonder that is the human body in health and sickness.
