The Department of Internal Medicine and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine are proud to announce Dr. Dipayan Chaudhuri, MD, PhD, has accepted the invitation to be apart of the Myocardial Ischemia and Metabolism Study Section, Center for Scientific Review. Members of the Myocardial Ischemia and Metabolism Study Section are selected based on their demonstrated competence and achievement in their scientific discipline as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors. Being apart of a Study Section also requires the ability to effectively work in groups as well as mature judgement and objectivity. Membership in a Study Section is a major commitment of time and energy professionally. Study Section Members will be given the opportunity to review grant applications submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), make recommendations on grant applications to the proper NIH national advisory board or council, survey the status of research in their fields and have the opportunity to contribute to the national biomedical research efforts. Membership on the Myocardial Ischemia and Metabolism Study Section have a great responsibility. The Department of Internal Medicine is proud of Dr. Chaudhuri for his accomplishment and wishes him success as he takes on this new responsibility.
