Addiction 101 in Family Practice Provider Training

The Division of Epidemiology's Program of Addiction Research, Clinical Care, Knowledge & Advocacy (PARCKA) in conjunction with the Salt Lake County Health Department will present provider training sessions on addiction in family practice.

The goal of these sessions is to present an interdisciplinary and interprofessional approach to addiction-related clinical care, advocacy, research, and education. Training sessions will inform on best practices for reducing unintended deaths from prescription opioids and substances. Furthermore, providers will get trained on how to find an appropriate course of action to treat a patient and how to integrate treatment plans into clinical care. 

The provider training sessions are scheduled for the following dates:

July 20 12:00-2:00pm Salt Lake County Government Center

Salt Lake County Health Department will provide meals for these events and associated CME fees. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Requests for reasonable accomodations for disabilities should be made in advance.
